Defining Black Futures and Excellence: A #RisingYouth Perspective

This event brought together Black-led organizations and Alumni from TakingITGlobal's #RisingYouth program to discuss the Black experience in Canada and covered a range of themes including:  Meaningful ways to engage the community, and perspectives from panelists on what black excellence means to them. The panel highlighted how to envision Black futures in Canada in support of showcasing how Black Canadians are contributing to their communities.

In this More Than Just A Project Interview, #RisingYouth Grégory Mondésir speaks with #RisingYouth Ivan Wilfried Ulrich Ngandjui Touko , who supported emerging Black vendors and emerging Black creatives reach new audiences and gain exposure through creating an accessible opportunity that provides equitable supports based on demonstrated need. He supported vendors through sourcing low cost equipment and services, such as special event tents and providing targeted marketing to the emerging vendors so that they have a wider recognition and reach new target markets. // Dans cette interview de Plus qu'un simple projet, l'Alumni #JeunesEnAction Grégory Mondésir s'entretient avec Ivan Wilfried Ulrich Ngandjui Touko , qui a aidé des vendeurs et des créateurs noirs émergents à atteindre de nouveaux publics et à se faire connaître en créant une opportunité accessible qui fournit un soutien équitable basé sur des besoins avérés. Il a aidé les vendeurs en leur fournissant des équipements et des services à bas prix, tels que des tentes pour les événements spéciaux, et en leur offrant un marketing ciblé afin qu'ils soient plus connus et atteignent de nouveaux marchés.
